This was the perfect vanity mirror light combo I needed for my basement bathroom. I have been slowly working on finishing my basement and added a small bathroom in the basement. I have a upflush system in the bathroom so I needed a vanity that is modern, not too bulky, and does not need a lot of electricity (watts). This checked all three boxes. It is super light, recessed and consumes minimal power due to LED lights. Love the three seperate light color/brightness. I had to cut a stud to get the light to be recessed, but given none of my basement studs are load bearing, that wasnt a issue. The vanity itself though is really nice and feels premium. The piece is beautiful and works wonderfully. Be advised, however, that it comes with the plug sticking out the back. If you are planning on recessing it into a wall, you/your contractor will have to figure out how to rewire it through the side. Also, the shelves say adjustable but the clips are near impossible to take out. Plan to spend 20 minutes wrestling each clip out. Incredibly spacious and beautiful vanity cabinet. It has 3 light temperatures and defog feature. The light can also be hardwired to turn onoff with your light switch. I just love the storage and clean lines this has. It looked so great in my bathroom renovation. I did modify it by buying custom sized mirrors to put on the the sides of it (glued on each side) so it looked like it was floating on the wall instead of being a black box on the sides.. Kristen. I love this medicine cabinet! I had a bit of trouble with one hinge but other than that it was pretty easy to assemble and hang by myself. Overall pretty happy with the cabinet. I had to install it surface mounted as I did not have the framing depth to recess it. The included screws for mounting should definitely not be used, the drywall anchor would be incredibly insufficient and fail with moderate loading of the cabinet. I installed backing in the framing prior to drywall and was able to mount it with two large screws. I also wish the electrical was able to be connected from inside the cabinet. Instead, the cabinet is delivered with a 16ga stranded wire whip that comes out of the top of the cabinet. This means that to have the cabinet lay flush to the wall I had to put a small junction box at the top of the cabinet that I will have to cover with trim later. The lighting is a great accent but insufficient as a sole light source for a bathroom if you are thinking about using it as such. Really wanted this cabinet for the interior outlets so I could keep my toothbrush out of sight, and for that it has been great. The door hinges seem to be of decent quality, they offer standard adjustments and provide a great soft close, hopefully they last. The primary drawback is the cord management. To achieve a professional, "cordless" finish, we had to drill a hole through the back of the cabinet and rewire the unit to hide the cables inside.
