This is a gorgeous well made bed I purchased for my master bedroom. It is very high and wide so I suggest measuring before purchasing; also it is extremely heavy so I added Wayfair assembly. The color is a soft dove gray with some dimension/texture as you would expect for wood variation, I wouldn’t say it is distressed. I believe it is composite wood and not solid wood. I really love the fabric center panel which has a silky soft feel. The only drawbacks are that the head panel outline isn’t a gold/brass color but just textured wood and that the frame is soft and is easy to ding if you bump or drop anything on it. King Size I honestly have to say, this bed exceeded my expectations! I ordered this bed through Wayfair, and the delivery process was pretty smooth. It arrived within three days, basically just one day after the expected delivery date, and everything came in one heavy box. FedEx left it in the mail room at my apartment, so I had to get some help carrying it all the way upstairs since I didn’t have a dolly. Once I got it inside, though, everything was smooth sailing. The assembly was actually easier than I expected. I didn’t have a toolbox or any extra tools, just the one tool that came with the bed, and I was still able to put the entire bed together myself. That says a lot because I’m definitely a hands-on person, but I was impressed that I didn’t need a bunch of extra tools. As far as the bed itself, WOW. The quality is really nice. It has a good weight to it, feels sturdy, and once everything is connected properly, the bed doesn’t move or wobble. The black upholstered design is absolutely beautiful in person, and it gives the bedroom a much more elegant and luxurious look. I’ll be honest, I was a little hesitant to order this bed because some of the pictures and reviews I saw beforehand had me wondering what I was actually going to receive. But I’m glad I took the chance because this bed looks even better in person than I expected. There were no missing parts, no damage, and no major issues whatsoever. Everything arrived exactly how it should, and the finished product is beautiful. My mattress is scheduled to arrive today, so I’ll definitely update this review once I’ve had a chance to actually sleep on the bed and see how everything feels together. But if you’re reading these reviews wondering, “Should I buy this bed” My answer is YES. Based on my experience so far, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Overall satisfaction 910 so far.
