This was initially going to be a 1 star review because when the bookcase arrived, every shelf and the bottom of the bookcase was damaged. I changed it to 4 stars because of how great the product support has been. I submitted the issue to wayfair and they put me in touch with the manufacturer, who offered to send a replacement if I sent the damaged one back. I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of returning such a large item so I asked for a partial refund and they offered 25 back, which I felt like was fair. They also responded every time in a timely manner. So while the product did arrive damaged, customer service was excellent and this experience won’t deter me from ordering from wayfair again.. This bookcase is adorable, I am using it as a storage piece for our nursery closet, it holds everything that I need, and is the perfect size! The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the instructions didn’t specify to make sure that the grooved part of the furniture needed to be in the back, and maybe I didn’t read the directions fully, I was mostly just following pictures. But I ended up having to take it all apart because one of the grooved pieces was at the front. Besides that it looks amazing and I’m super glad with how it turned out.. Payton Powell. Clover, SC. I love this bookcase! It's super sturdy, real wood, which is exactly what I wanted. There is one shelf that is fixed, and the rest are adjustable. I used the fixed shelf to hold my biggest and heaviest books and scrapbooks, which works great. My only complaint is that the measurement in the product photos shows the bookcase is 13" deep, but that measurement is only for the very top of the bookcase which sticks out about an inch more than the shelves. The shelves are actually only 11 7/8" deep. Other than that, it's an excellent bookcase! I also used the Wayfair assembly service, which worked great.. Barbara. TX. Thu Nov 05 2026
