Update to review This sofa is not the sink-into kind, but has wonderful support and the reclining feature is so comfy! It reclines flat and mechanism works smoothly. The upholstery will be a breeze to clean. I did put it together by myself not as time consuming as I had guessed. It should be noted that the seat cushions come vacuum-packed and need to “puff up” for 2-3 days. They look great now. Also, the cushions attach with a heavy duty zipper— it is difficult to get started and there was one that simply would not zipper. I changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars after using it! Original review This sofa is going to be incredibly time consuming to put together. The upholstery seems pretty thick and hopefully durable. I just can’t believe the number of pieces involved. TL;DR- good sturdy couch but could be better. The leather is soft but a little scratchy (aka scratches easily when compared to a proper real leather couch). The recliner works well but beware that it’s not long enough for my 5’6” wife (her feet hang out), if you’re expecting full coverage. My advice would be to spend a little more and get powered headrests, something with USB chargers as well as something a little larger as this is definitely on the smaller side. The in between pieces that are arm rests and have cup holders are definitely much cheaper in quality when compared to the seats. One of the non-recliner pieces is hanging an inch off the ground on one side because the latch that connects to other seats came a little bent and it’s too late now for me to report to Wayfair (more than 2 weeks after delivery). Despite few reviews and never having made a Wayfair purchase this large, I bought this and 2 of the matching console loveseats. Overall, I'm content with that purchase and my experience. Pros: I'm really pleased with the quality of the material. It feels very durable and looks pretty high end. Assembly was quick and fairly easy. Really clean looking, very comfortable, and large sized (we can fit 4 people on this when it's not reclining). The recliner lever lets the recliner up, but to close it, you have to force it closed with your legs. I like this because it seems like less stress on the reclining mechanism (whereas other recliners sound awful when you use the lever to close them). Cons: The armrests are tricky to get locked in. Some pieces had quality control issues - rust on the metal base/feet, some small tears, rough stitching and one spot completely missing stitching. Nothing so extreme or noticeable though, so I did keep them. The worst thing about this is that the three main pieces don't want to stay locked into one another; they keep popping out. It's tricky to line them up in the first place, then they just pop out of place when the recliner is moved up or down. I wish they made that connection easier or had a locking mechanism to keep it in place. It'll take separating the pieces and finagling with the feet height to hopefully help the alignment of the connections, but we got tired of messing with it. Also one odd tidbit - the middle piece shipped from a separate location (literally opposite ends of the country) than everything else, so timing of the deliveries won't be all the same.
