Karastan Black Wool Rug

Striking just the right balance between understated and eye-catching, this handmade area rug features a classic oriental-inspired floral pattern in neutral navy, beige and brown tones. Since this traditional rug is hand-tufted in India from 100% wool with a medium 0.6" pile height, it’s well-suited for high-traffic rooms like your living room or entryway. Its canvas backing means that there's no need for a rug pad, but feel free to add one underneath if you like extra padding.

No matter which room you’re decorating, an area rug is a must – from enhancing an existing color scheme to acting as an unexpected focal point, they’re sure to please. This design sports a Persian-inspired motif in black, red, green, and gold for a classically-inspired appearance. Crafted from wool, it features a 0.5'' pile height that encourages you to sink your toes in. (Plus, it remains easy to clean with regular vacuuming.) We recommend pairing this item with a rug pad to keep it steady.

The rug is thinner than I thought it would be. I’m also extremely disappointed and angry at the fact that they folded a very expensive rug to be shipped. Why was it not rolled and sent in a roll instead of being folded? Absolutely appalling.. Anonymous. Sat Oct 11 2025

Huckstep area rugs blend vintage charm with bold, modern colors. This process involves taking distressed or faded traditional and antique rugs and saturating them with vibrant, monochromatic dye. This technique enhances the texture of the rugs while preserving the intricate patterns underneath. The result is a striking combination of old and new, with rich hues like deep blue, purple, or bright red. These rugs are perfect for eclectic and contemporary spaces, adding an artistic touch and serving as a dynamic focal point in any room.

I ordered a 9x12 in Beige. The rug is beautiful. It pairs perfectly with our Cairo Oak flooring and coastal vibe. It feels underfoot. I have been vacuuming it 2x’s per week. It does shed more than some reviews have indicated (photo of vacuum canister after one vacuum is below. Keep in mind I only vacuum the parts that are not under the king sized bed). Nevertheless, I love it.. Nicole. Aston, PA. Mon Sep 28 2026
