For now, you have me telling you, that if you are buying this for the Dodge Kitchen Island, and especially if you are putting the wheels on that island which puts the counter at 38" high, consider buying the 30" inch stools, Ok? The Mahogany stools are not as dark as the counter top, but the black would not have matched either, soooo . . . it is what it is; we still love them because they are GORGEOUS !! These are very sturdy stools and the wood is beautiful. BUT. I bought 2 sets. One set was fairly well matched in color, the other was not. One was very yellow on the top and the other fairly dark. In person, they didn't go at all. I solved this because I didn't want the hassle of returning them by painting the tops. Great stools but be aware of the color variation.
