Love these chairs, saw the same chair or similar and many other places for a lot more expensive but these are as good or better.. David. Fort Lauderdale, FL. Thu Sep 24 2026

I would've given the chair five (5) stars as it is simply beautiful. Red leather is beautiful and finely designed. However, the flawed design mechanics required demerits. The screw holes to the base and the screw holes to the chair did not aligned and required me to use my adjustable grip pliers. When I was finally able to tighten the screws, the screw heads were stripped. When I turned the chair upright to sit down, a metal piece fell to the floor. The adjustable bar in the base which allows the chair to rise and fall as well as recline comes all the way out of the chair. I deduced the metal piece which broke loose when I turned the chair upright, that was it's function to keep the adjustment bar from coming all the way out. The customer service representative reduced the price of the chair by 20% or $477 which I considered a fair deal.. G. Detroit, MI. Wed Jul 20 2022

I have waffled on this between four and five stars. The chair is every bit as weighty and good looking as the pictures show. Not quite a chesterfield but chesterfield-like. The "faux leather" certainly feels as you would expect pleather to feel. I'm a fan of full grain leather typically but given the option of this versus a 2k+ chair of real leather it is a good compromise. I will say the following though as a "con" of sorts. There are a few comments here about the pitch of the seat. As an amateur woodworker I mistook this as not understanding that a proper seat needs pitch to be comfortable. The basic pitch (with the back locked) is a bit more than I thought it would be and I can see how a smaller person may not like it. I'm 6' and have it at top height so it works for me, but just be aware that the pitch of the seat is a bit more than you may be used to.. Andrew. Owens Cross Roads, AL. Sun Sep 13 2026

On the path to pursuing an outstanding office experience, this luxurious office chair will be your ideal choice and redefine your comfort at work.

This chair is nice real leather and seems to be a good quality, not likely to start peeling quickly. The seat is nice and wide and constructed well. It isn't the most cushioned on the bottom, but good enough for this style of chair. The bolts that screwed in the sides of the cushions for the back were somewhat temperamental to get in the right angle since they were counter sunk in the hole, especially considering the hole in the leather was too small.. This Gesture chair was designed by Steelcase to be confident, intentional, and highly evolved with simple sophistication. The design was meant to inspire confidence that it would deliver a great experience time and time again. The key design driver was to fundamentally rethink the chair based on the movement of the human body and the way we work today. Gesture won the Neocon Gold Award in 2013.

Very happy with the colors I chose. Quality of material is high. It arrived pre-assembled in a giant box. It was well wrapped and there's not a nick or scratch on the chair. Since working from home I burnt through a $400 chair in 2.5 years. I decided to make the investment in a higher quality chair. So far when I sit in it my sciatica goes away and my body is just immediately comfortable. I'm only 5'3" and my feet can actually firmly be on the ground. Very happy that I went with the Gesture. It adjusts to fit my height and the arm rests come in closer. I think this chair would still be great for average height people, but it's adjustable so that it works for smaller builds too.. Sg. USA.
