Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this. OK, first of all let me just say we did have an issue with shipping. The first one arrived and it had a blemish on the top. It had been hit at some point during delivery, so we contacted Wayfair and they were more than happy to send us another table. It’s really nice for the price, but smaller than expected. It looks like solid wood, but the dimensions provided were false. The unextended length is 47 in and with extension only 59in. The pedestal for the table to sit on is attractive and easy enough to put together if you turn it sideways and not straight up and down, the top was easy to assemble, but there seems to be less than perfection in the adjoining pieces of the two table tops and whatever I tried, I could not get the entire length to close completely however, it’s still beautiful. We put a runner down the length of the seam in the two tops and you can’t see it and it feels really strong and sturdy and as attractive and easy enough to assemble if you have some Mechanical ability that’s all..
