Overall I think this chair is fantastic, exactly what I wanted / needed and a massive upgrade from what I had before. The leather feels nice and rich and overall I am happy with the build quality. The slight nitpicks I will mention though are, however, that the leather appears a bit thin when looking at the included square patch, though time will tell. The base where the rollers are attached is not a solid piece of wood but rather a metal frame covered in wood, this is both good and bad in ways. Good in that the cair is more sturdy and I am confident the weld will not fail, bad in that because the wood is laid over and not tightly secured, it can move quite a bit and leads to the piece feeling cheap. There is very little heigh adjustment range for the piston that is included, though they are upfront about this in the product specifications, only about an inch and the seat already sits higher than the average chair in my opinion. In addition some things to note that are neither positives or negatives, the seat and cushions are quite firm, though maybe they relax over time. The chair is also made to the average person, so people who are tall or short may find the chair slightly uncomfortable. Chair is rated to 250 lbs and I'd say that is probably accurate, the seat is not narrow but if you are wider at the hips it may be a struggle to sit properly. I would've given the chair five (5) stars as it is simply beautiful. Red leather is beautiful and finely designed. However, the flawed design mechanics required demerits. The screw holes to the base and the screw holes to the chair did not aligned and required me to use my adjustable grip pliers. When I was finally able to tighten the screws, the screw heads were stripped. When I turned the chair upright to sit down, a metal piece fell to the floor. The adjustable bar in the base which allows the chair to rise and fall as well as recline comes all the way out of the chair. I deduced the metal piece which broke loose when I turned the chair upright, that was it's function to keep the adjustment bar from coming all the way out. This chair is nice real leather and seems to be a good quality, not likely to start peeling quickly. The seat is nice and wide and constructed well. It isn't the most cushioned on the bottom, but good enough for this style of chair. The bolts that screwed in the sides of the cushions for the back were somewhat temperamental to get in the right angle since they were counter sunk in the hole, especially considering the hole in the leather was too small.. Mechanical control. All Triune Business Furniture chairs are furnished with a standard control that has 4 specific functions. A 360-degree swivel. A tilt-back action which allows the user to tilt the entire chair backward for a change of position or to be more comfortable when you are not working on a desk or other surface.
