We wanted a bench for our entry way and this is just what we needed! Feels sturdy and decent quality for the price. I was a bit disappointed that the fabric color was darker than shown in the website photos, but doesn't bother us enough where we feel like we need to return. It's a darker beige/tan than lighter color. Bench top is firm, but not a bug deal since we don't anicipate people sitting on it for long. Also the hardware comes packaged so that you cut off the top and they’re all in little pockets which I felt was not intentional by the supplier but super helpful when putting together and keeping things organized. This is a good storage bench. The larger area has an adjustable optional shelf. The cushion is soft enough for extra seating but firm enough to be sturdy. I was able to put it together myself, but it was frustrating at times. Many of the holes aren’t drilled properly, making it hard to screw in things. The two doors for the larger part aren’t close enough, so you can see a space. The thing to lift up the cushion was especially difficult to screw in. We have a shoeless house so this small benchshoe organizer is perfect without being in the way. It would hold 8 pairs of my size 7 shoes or 6 of my BFs size 10.5. Only his flip flops will fit on top (my sneakers and low heels fit fine). High heels or don’t fit here and I doubt men’s size 11 or larger would fit. The cushion is loose and optional.
