The American Country Vintage Armoire works very well for our guest bedroom. It’s a bit flimsy, but we are bolting it to the wall which (instead of using the anti-tipping straps) which will strengthen it nicely. The doors line up well; we added a mirror to the inside doors for our guests. The hardware package had everything we needed for assembly; each in its own bag-no missing/left over parts! I really appreciated the round stickers in the same print as the cabinet to hide the screw holes. The drawers aren’t very deep/long but I’m using it for linen storage and the occasional house guests so that’s not problematic for us. Four stars due to the cabinet looking a little like a yellow pine color rather than the light brownish I expected. It was difficult to get good pictures of this item because its in a hallway of sorts, so the angles were hard to work with. This is one amazing piece of furniture! It is sturdy and durable and looks beautiful in my bedroom. Note that if you are looking at the pictures, the right side is only one set of 4 shelves and middle one is adjustable but the mirror in the door makes it look like there is a double set of shelves which is not the case. this came in a shipment of 2 boxes and the instructions were perfect and so easy to follow. Has so much room and the color is absolutely lovely! Know that is a lower price because feeling wise it is more on the cheaper side (which is okay for us). I'm using it as a small office/desk. I had assemblers/handymen put it together and it took about 1.5 hours for 2 guys - that cost $220. I did not use the hanger/clothes pole. I got 2 black laminate shelves from Menards that are 12" deep to use as additional storage (see photo - top 2 shelves are NOT included in the purchase - I added these such that I can store more office supplies). I also had a hole put through the back of the unit for my printer cord which will sit on the top of the drawer. My laptop will go on center shelf. Cost of chest is very effective and materials are not the greatest but it does not look cheap when completed. I wouldn't store this anywhere with high humidity. I purchased this in the white wash. I will start by saying it is a very solid piece. Most of it is thick solid wood. The entire back pieces that dont really matter are the only pieces that are thin boards. For the price, I was not expecting to have to build it from scratch. With that said, I was taken aback by how many pieces this comes in. 3 large boxes weighing a total of over 300 pounds arrived. Every single piece of this armoire needs to be put together. Including, building the drawers and adding the side sliding rails that glide them open and close. See my pictures its alot of pieces and tons of hardware. When I purchased this there were no instructions on the item website so I was not able to get a glimpse of the assembly this would require. Since my purchase the instructions have been uploaded and I will suggest using the online version over the pamphlet that comes in the box. It shows more pictures and has more detailed instructions. If your significant other isnt handy expect to have to hire someone to put it together. It took mine who is extraordinarily handy about 5 hours to complete mostly by himself with a little help from me setting the larger boards in place. Overall, putting the full required assembly aside, I think its a beautiful solid piece that will definitely last a lifetime. I did alot of research looking everywhere online and in stores and you cant find a quality solid wood armoire this size for under 4000. It looks exactly how it shows.
