The sparrow flat has three appartments as sparrows like to live together. As well as sparrows, you can expect the tree sparrow, bleu tit or great tit to visit the flat. The best place to hang the flat is quiet, sheltered spot. During winter, the nesting box is often used as a sheltering and sleeping spot.

Why are the houses sideways in Charleston? When the city's first streets were laid out in 1680, residential lots were long and deep but had little street frontage. Placing the house sideways on the lot made the best use of space. This also allowed the home to take full advantage of the prevailing southerly breezes, necessary in the hot summer climate. Perfect layout for a functional birdhouse that provides a home for small birds. The roof is topped with red cedar shingles, has a 1.25” hole, and has lots of details like a real house. It comes with a bracket for hanging on a fence or tree. Complete with ventilation, drainage, and a cleanout. You may want to preserve this beautiful home with a polyurethane spray.

The chapel birdhouse is inspired by the traditional gothic arches of European churches, this birdhouse has 1 ½” detailed entry holes for 6 nesting areas. These nesting areas are divided into approximately 3.5” x 3.5” areas and the divider can be removed for cleaning. The chapel birdhouse platform has drain holes on all four corners and the roof is removable for easy access and maintenance. The house also is vented near the roofline while still protecting the nesting cavities from the elements. The chapel birdhouse is constructed from PVC to last for many years of enjoyment without having to worry about rotting or cracking. Use the permanently attached mounting collar over a true 4”x 4” post for yard installation.

Constructed with today's birds in mind, the home bazaar's charming 1920s Dutch colonial home sports its distinctive profile. It's not uncommon to hear it described as a barn house. One infamous Dutch colonial, the Amityville horror house, situated in a suburban neighborhood in long island, new york was the site of a series of mysterious murders.
