Hillsdale Low Profile Bed

This platform bed updates your home with a vintage-inspired look that blends seamlessly into any traditional or farmhouse setup. Constructed from steel, it features a slatted headboard and footboard that introduce an airy, open profile to your arrangement. Center support legs work alongside the perimeter frame to deliver a stable sleeping foundation that handles everyday use smoothly. Because the system includes its own steel slats, your mattress rests directly on the base to simplify your setup. Plus, it features an adjustable headboard height so you can easily customize the clearance to suit your specific mattress thickness.

The bed frame is simple but quite pretty and sturdy. The low profile footboard doesn’t cut into a small room - helps to keep it open. And there are two height choices. The taller choice allows for a nice space underneath for storage. The only thing I worry about is the plastic spacers that keep the crossbars for the platform in place. If a person needed to take the bed apart for any reason, I would worry that those spacers would wear out.. Michele. Harlingen, TX. Thu May 14 2026

Pleased with my purchase. The queen size bed frame and headboard came in excellent condition. The construction appears solid. Assembly took less than 30 minutes. However, if you arent very familiar with furniture assembly instructions, you may struggle a little as none of the pieces were labeled with the numbers used in the instructions. That being said, if you look carefully at the diagrams, you should be fine. Bed assembly is pretty straightforward. It does have a slight varnish smell that has started to fade after 3 days.. A.. Beautiful bedframe super easy too build. Super easy to clean. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because we have an 8 Sleep mattress (heavier) had to lay down extra support beams. Will work perfectly with any normal mattress.. Haley. Hastings, MN. Wed Oct 07 2026

The headboard features a design of flowing lines, crowned with elegant candle-ball finials that add a touch of luxury and romance to your bedroom. The bed frame itself is constructed from thickened carbon steel, offering exceptional compressive strength and fracture resistance. Its surface is finished with a durable powder coating, providing reliable protection against rust and wear.Furthermore, the 11.81-inch clearance under the bed offers valuable storage space, allowing you to maximize your room’s potential by storing away seasonal items and keeping your bedroom neat and organized. Notably, this bed frame is designed for easy assembly and disassembly, a hassle-free process that saves you both time and effort.

I purchased the queen size bed frame for a spare bedroom. It was easy to assemble and very sturdy. Instructions were easy to follow and pieces clearly marked. The stickers were hard to get off though.. Brenda. Frankfort, KY. Sun Sep 06 2026

My 80 year old Aunt loves her new bed in her new apartment in South Carolina. Furnishing with Wayfair has been easy and affordable. I love shopping your online store.❤️❤️❤️. Sheila. Edison, NJ. Fri Aug 14 2026

The bed showcases a smooth headboard with extended posts and round tapering legs - details that nod to a mid-century modern design aesthetic. It is constructed from solid and engineered wood with a rich protective finish that further enhances the natural beauty of the wood. The slat roll foundation means there is no need for a box spring - just top with the mattress of your choice (sold separately). Make up with crisp linens for a refined, tailored look.

Beautiful bed frame, however seems like the screws come loose easily. We haven’t had any major problems but something about it doesn’t feel as sturdy as I would have hoped. Very pretty though!. Julie. Catonsville, MD. Wed Aug 26 2026

Sleek steel and sustainable bamboo come together in this platform bed to bring you the best of contemporary craftsmanship. A solid bamboo headboard highlights the wood’s natural grain, perfectly paired with a black metal frame for a modern, balanced look. Designed for both style and durability, bamboo offers an easy-to-maintain surface, while the sturdy steel base provides reliable support. Wide, closely spaced wooden slats create a stable foundation for any mattress without the need for a box spring, and non-slip tape helps reduce movement and noise. Thoughtfully packed with all the tools and instructions for quick assembly, this bed is built for effortless setup and lasting appeal.

This bed was phenomenally easy to assemble, and I thoroughly enjoyed the process. I really liked how this bed came with a ratcheted Allen key wrench and a regular Allen key, and I really appreciated that the hardware came in already organized for you in a cardboard blister, so you didn't have to dig around for it in a bag. Instructions were really straightforward and easy to follow, and they also linked a YouTube tutorial to make things easier in case if the graphics were not clear enough. The only major downside is that the under-bed clearance is less than 5", which can limit your storage space, but if you prefer your bed low to the ground, then this bed frame is perfect! If I had to nitpick, then I'd say that the wood parts of the bed have this very strong "new cabinet" smell, but I'm sure that will resolve itself over time. In conclusion, this bed has pretty great value to it because the build experience was very pleasant, the bed looks beautiful, and it's very budget friendly! Would definitely recommend, especially if you get it on sale :). Tim. CA. Wed Sep 23 2026

Six replacement chairs were received. Four of those chairs are damaged as well. The packaging appears to be the issue. The hardware is placed inside the cushions of the chair, and through shipping, is causing damage to the cushions. I will attach the pictures again. I reported this yesterday.. Sherrie. Love this bed-frame, and the dark walnut colour is perfect! I do wish it was made of real wood (the legs are and they’re such great quality) but it’s sturdy and affordable! So I’m really happy overall, the mattress we used was about 8-9 inches high and is the sweet spot for low profile look. Makes the head board look bigger and adds to the aesthetic!. Ryan. Update your bedroom with this platform bed frame and all its traditional charm – plus, some modern practicality. It's crafted from steel in a classic silhouette and comes with wooden slats that eliminate the need for a box spring. The design features an elegant slatted headboard showcasing vintage-inspired turns details and a softly arching top, paired with a matching footboard to complete the look. What's more, the 10" under-bed clearance means there's also plenty of room for a couple storage bins.

I did a lot of research regarding the weight capacity of metal beds. We have a king size black beauty rest mattress that works best with box springs so the total mattress weight has to be around 200lbs. My husband and I combined are just under 400 lbs. so I wanted a minimum of 700 lbs to more than cover. Also my husband is 6’2” and I was concerned about his feet getting caught in the footboard. We tested it without the box springs because the bed doesn’t require those. He didn’t have any issues but we ended up adding the box springs anyway. Now the bed with the springs goes higher than the footboard. The mattress height alone is 14 inches and box springs add about 4 inches. The bed frame is heavy at just under 103 pounds so that was important. I didn’t want a lightweight frame. The decor on the head and footboard is beautiful, gives an antique vibe like the bed my grandmother had but no squeaking. We have slept on this for just under a week and there is no sound. We were able to put this together is about twenty minutes. The instructions are clear with numbers for connecting pieces that slid into place easily. We did use the rubber mallet included to secure each piece. Love the bed, very happy with the sturdiness and look.. Linda. Kansas City, MO. Thu Sep 10 2026
