The Mahogany stools are not as dark as the counter top, but the black would not have matched either, soooo . . . it is what it is; we still love them because they are GORGEOUS !! Seat cushions are very nice, but a little hard when you sit in them the first time. I expect that the cushions will soften up as they get used.
