I bought this case because a friend of mine has already done so and has used it. The price is excellent. It is not a hard shell; those cost about $1,000.00. It is softish. It contains all sorts of protection to put on the various bike parts and does an excellent job of protecting the bike. In order to fit into the rather narrow "box" one must break down the bike. Handlebar and wheels need to come off. This could be difficult unless you are well versed in bike mechanics. Once packed, it is quite narrow and tips over easily.
