I’ve owned a brown square counter height table for about 8 years. Disliked it since day one and when I came across this farmhouse one, I was excited. The day it arrived, the delivery guys put everything together and I think it took them no more than an hour. I highly recommend having them put it together for you. Had no issues with parts and nothing was damaged. But most of all, it is a heavy table. Not completely solid wood but close to it and will last longer than my previous one that’s for sure. Overall, I’m very happy with this coffee table. Assembly was straightforward, and the instructions were easy to follow. It looks great, feels sturdy, and the storage compartments are spacious and very functional. The lift-top feature is also a nice addition for working or eating from the couch. My only complaint is that one side of the lift-top mechanism appears to have been manufactured incorrectly. The pre-drilled holes didn’t line up properly, so I had to drill additional holes myself to secure it. As a result, the lift top sits slightly lopsided when opened.
