NOT made of acacia wood. True acacia wood is one of the hardest woods in the world. It took longer than expected to receive the countertop but it arrived in immaculate condition and looks amazing. I put on 3 thin coats of wipe-on water based satin polyurethane to protect it and sanded lightly with steel wool in between coats. The polyurethane really brought out the color without adding too much sheen - it is gorgeous. I know there were some unfavorable reviews for this countertop but I recommend it highly.. Terrell.
