Handmade Silk Red Contemporary Rug

Contour + depth. This hand-loomed area rug blends sculptural geometry and tactile richness. A high-low pile carves out a subtle oval motif, adding quiet dimension to its deep burgundy base. Crafted from 100% wool, it offers natural softness and durability. The dense pile cushions hard floors while maintaining a clean, modern silhouette. Available in multiple sizes, including runner and area formats, this rug is a refined foundation for living rooms, entryways, and bedrooms. Rotate periodically to preserve texture. Add a rug pad for extra stability.

This rug came in a beautiful, deep marine color. It looks very high-end and great quality… It does need to be vacuumed as it is wool, so it does set a little bit. It lays very well on hardwood floor and we added a quarter inch rug pad underneath, and it’s beautiful! Highly recommend.. Lisa. Apple Valley, CA. Fri Apr 17 2026

The classic motifs of the rugs in this collection are sure to add a touch of elegance to your home. Available in deep reds and maroons, as well as a few paler, lighter hues, this fine rug brings distinction to any room. Tie your decor together with this rug.

Exceeded my expectations. High quality for the price. I like the subtle variations in the reds. I bought an expensive cat tree but the cats sit on the rug!. Yuki. Seattle, WA. Tue Oct 27 2026

This area rug anchors your home with a relaxed, versatile layer. Natural wool construction brings subtle depth and soft texture underfoot, making it an ideal choice for high-traffic areas. The tightly woven fibers lie flat across the floor to maintain a clean, streamlined look. It integrates seamlessly into existing decor without crowding your layout. Plus, its soft texture adds a comfortable feel underfoot. We recommend pairing this piece with a rug pad to prevent slipping.

I was initially hesitant to purchase this rug because of the cost, but it is honestly worth every penny. The texture, thickness, and color are all exactly what I was hoping for and it is surprisingly low maintenance to keep clean in the doorway between my kitchen and breezeway. Nikki. WI. The traditions of nomads and villagers throughout the Middle East and Central Asia are revived in an array of contemporary and tribal-inspired designs in this collection.

Beautiful colors, this red wool rug goes well with others in the room. The Kilim rug has a rougher surface than the long pile rya rug it is replacing, but I think it will wear well. Quick delivery was appreciated.. Kathleen. King Ferry, NY. Tue Apr 04 2023

A thousand tonal shades from ruby to Cabernet are complemented by gold and beige in a design inspired by the French Empire period. Made with ancient French Aubusson dyeing and weaving methods, this hand-knotted Aubusson flat weave rug has thousands of subtle color shades, similar to antique Aubusson rugs. Also available in cut and loop pile. Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA. Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets. Use with a pad.

The Serapi Collection reinterprets traditional tribal geometric design through a refined palette. Each rug is hand-knotted from hand-spun lamb’s wool, creating a soft underfoot feel. Natural variation in the yarn introduces depth and tonal variation, while vegetable-based dyes produce a warm, earth-toned palette. A patina gives each piece the appearance of an aged Serapi rug. Designed for traditional and transitional interiors.
