Personally I definitely feel this lamp was absolutely overpriced for the quality. This is a nice lamp. It appears high quality. Its very big. The base is about 10 inches wide at its thickest. The candle in the photo is 8 ounces and the tumbler is 16 ounces. The measurements are correct. I probably would have been happy with something a little bit smaller but Ill get used to it. Beautiful terracotta base. A substantial lamp that is full of earthy character. The shade didn't work for me though. Felt too big, and because I have the lamp sitting on a side table in our sunken living room, you could see too much of the inside and the bulb. I realized I needed an empire shade instead of a drum, so I had to spend the extra money to purchase a different shade. But I'm happy with the purchase overall. Note that you can see a "seam" (one on each side) where the potter put the two pieces together I assume. I like it and think it adds to the character, but others may not.. Andrea. It's nice, but is considerably larger than I thought it would be. Fortunately the table I wanted to put it on accommodates it just fine. Also, I am not sure I think it is as pretty as the picture is. But, eh, it's fine. My main thing with it is that the shade is not as oatmeal colored as it is in the picture. It's kinda darker as it has some dark, maybe blackish, thread woven into it. Excellent quality, beautiful lamp with a nice number of color options. I chose green yellow. The glass shades are hand blown in clear and white, the. Thehand painted, and baked enamel. The shades are heavier, and larger, than most of this styles the lamp base has nice detailing. I like the leaves. We placed two lamps on a niche above our wet bar. Be aware, the green yellow has an extremely yellow light. I had warm white bulbs 2700 kelvin and it looked like a yellow bug light. I changed them to bright white 3000 kelvin and it helped, substantially.
