Hand Tufted Novelty Rug

More than anything else, area rugs are art for your floors: They create the mood of your decor, guide the layout of your furniture, and establish a color scheme to follow (or rebel against). A new rug can, and will, dramatically change a room – the fun part is picking the one you love. Calm and soothing, this rug’s green ombre backdrop refreshes any space and gives off a natural ambiance. Made in India, it’s hand-tufted from New Zealand wool with a medium pile height. To keep this piece safely in place, we recommend using a rug pad.

The design centers around a clean layout that lets your decor take center stage, while the high pile height makes it an excellent choice for areas with less foot traffic. It features a cotton and latex backing for added structure beneath the weave. Plus, its flat construction stays comfortable underfoot while keeping your room arrangement coordinated. We recommend pairing this piece with a rug pad to prevent slipping.

The rug is gorgeous! Thick and soft with deep, rich colors. Looks great in our mid-century modern home. Yes, it does shed a bit. But after vacuuming a few times, that has stopped. Love the rug it’s definitely more of a cream color and almost a greenish black check instead of like black. Definitely not as vibrant as the picture, but I still love it.. Christyn. Biloxi, MS. Mon Jul 27 2026

An alluring interplay of color and texture distinguishes dip-dyed rugs as one-of-a-kind works of art for your floor. Each rug is hand-tufted of wool and dyed twice to produce motifs in striking gradations of color against a solid ground.

Love the thickness and durability as well as stylishness of this rug. It makes a great edition to my custom closet!!. Dawn. Millville, MA. Sun May 10 2026

I appreciate the quality of these thick hand loomed wool rugs. I bought one as a runner for our sliding door and another as living room floor rug. I will need to add some carpet tape as the runner, particularly, does tend to 'dance' around our shiny hardwood floors. However, the rugs are gorgeous!. Chloe. Monmouth, OR. Thu May 07 2026

I really like that this rug is made from natural materials; 80% wool and 20% cotton. This gives it a nice, luxurious feel. The rug is made with a sturdy backing and the craftsmanship is very good. The size and yellow color are exactly as advertised. Shipping was quick and the packaging protected the rug. I'm already thinking of ordering other Safavieh brand rugs from Wayfair.. Russell. Oceanside, CA. Thu Sep 17 2026

Looks great in my foyer. Along with my other ones. A beautiful foyer with my peacock rugs and peacock statue, and my marble top tables, and my crystal lamps, and my Bose system, I’m good too go. Thank you. Judy. US. Mon Jul 11 2022

This collection is the response to market demand for clean, transitional designs in rugs that work equally well in traditional and contemporary homes. Its unique purity and clarity of color are achieved by selecting only the purest premium New Zealand wool as a canvas for its exciting new color palette. Many of the designs in this collection are accented with viscose for silky softness to outline patterns and further highlight the softness of the wool. This innovative collection is hand-tufted in India.

For a luxurious feel and just a bit of whimsy, look no further than our rug. Made with 100% natural wool, these rugs provide a soft, squishy surface that you’ll love to step on as soon as you get out of bed each morning or beg you to kick your shoes off when you’re lounging around in the living room. This exudes a sense of peace and relaxation and a playful multicolor version that instantly brightens any room it's in, The rug is an attractive showpiece for any style. The pileless wool construction makes these rugs easy to clean despite their plush feel. Perfect for medium-traffic areas where comfort is a priority like the living room or bedroom.

As others have said, the colors in the photos are very misrepresentative - they are much more dull and grey. That said, the rug feels great underfoot and everyone in my house has spent time standing on it. There's no way a door would be able to pass over it and I feel like it would make a table or other furniture feel off balance, so would recommend more for a runner or area rug that sits in the middle of a room.. Sarah. Baltimore, MD. Thu Sep 24 2026

This is a hand tufted wool area rug with a multicolored contemporary swirl design. Hand tufted means wool yarn is punched through a backing by hand with a tufting tool, then secured with a latex backing, which gives a dense, even pile at a lower price than hand knotted. The wool pile is about 1/2 inch. Sizes in this listing: 4' x 6', 5' x 8', 7'9" x 9'9", 8'9" x 11'9", 9'6" x 13'6", 12' x 15', and 4', 6' and 7'9" rounds. The circular swirl pattern reads well from above, so it works as a focal point in a living room, under a round dining table, or in a kids' room. Made in India. Care: vacuum regularly without a beater bar, blot spills right away, and use a rug pad. Some shedding is normal in the first weeks of a new wool rug.

Beautiful, bright colors. Claudette. Racine, WI. Mon Jun 01 2026

A repeating medallion design with intricate scrolling details delivers a botanical feel with floral accents in blue and yellow hues. Handmade from 100% wool, this rug is crafted with a tufted design and a cotton backing. We love that this rug has a medium 0.5'' pile that's just right for cushioning your feet and warming your floors in low-traffic spaces. We recommend pairing this rug with a rug pad to keep it from shifting.
