I appreciate the quality of these thick hand loomed wool rugs. I bought one as a runner for our sliding door and another as living room floor rug. I will need to add some carpet tape as the runner, particularly, does tend to 'dance' around our shiny hardwood floors. However, the rugs are gorgeous!. Chloe. Monmouth, OR. Thu May 07 2026

Give your cozy living room seating group a splash of whimsy or add a pop of color to the master suite with this chic rug, showcasing a geometric motif in multi-colored stripes on a gray background.

It's beautiful I gave it 5 stars because it is thick, feels and looks expensive. But, there are 1 inch peices of fabric that keep coming out and I've been using it 6 month. Never-the-less, I love it. I just pick up those pieces of cloth and toss them. I would still buy this even if I knew this. It's really not that big of a thing. The positives out-weight the negatives. Love it.. Christine. Hand loomed from wool this ombr runner presents a carefully controlled transition from soft peach and blush tones into layered shades of gray creating a visual flow that feels calm grounded and intentional. Instead of relying on pattern or ornament the design allows color to carry the composition. Because the ombr effect is achieved through hand weaving and dyed yarns the tonal movement has depth and nuance. Wool plays an important functional role here as well as it is naturally resilient and insulating making this rug well suited for high-traffic areas in your home or office where durability matters as much as comfort. Underfoot the surface feels soft and works for daily use without appearing heavy or overly plush. The medium pile height ensures ease of movement while still providing warmth and sound absorption. From a design perspective this modern and contemporary ombr rug works as a visual connector. The warmer peach and blush tones gently introduce color while the gray base anchors the runner within neutral interiors making it especially versatile. What makes this rug especially effective is its subtlty. It doesnt dominate a space yet it changes how that space is experienced bringing softness and warmth to any areas its placed in. If you are looking for a hand loomed wool runner that combines modern design practical durability and an understated ombr aesthetic this piece offers a thoughtful way to elevate everyday spaces for you.Story Behing the Art: Modern and contemporary rugs represent a radical departure from centuries of traditional weaving shifting the focus from historical storytelling to pure artistic expression. This evolution began in the early 20th century heavily influenced by art movements such as the Bauhaus and Art Deco movements which replaced intricate floral motifs with the clean lines and geometric grids of the machine age. While modern rugs are defined by this structured minimalist aesthetic of the mid-century contemporary rugs reflect abstract and fluid asymmetrical layouts. Characterized by a no-rules philosophy these pieces often utilize high-low piles and sustainable materials like bamboo silk or recycled fibers offering a versatile textile for the 21st-century interior.

A cascade of icy blue, soft orange, and weathered cream gives the Sunset Ice rug a beautiful interplay of warmth and coolness. Echoing aged Khotan tapestries, its motifs are subtle yet purposeful. Hand-knotted in a wool and viscose blend, this piece brings quiet drama and texture to relaxed interiors.
