I bought this gorgeous cage for our budgie. It’s perfect for a small bird. I don’t recommend for the larger and stronger birds because the wires are thin and could be possibly bent. I also would not recommend it for finches due to the bar spacing and the possibility of their tiny heads getting stuck. As another reviewer stated, it’s not a shiny silver, but great. It does appear silver in the light. I love the transparent base that allows me to see my bird even when he’s in the bottom. This cage would be large enough for a pair of parakeets. I purchased the black stand elsewhere because Wayfair only had it in white. It’s easy to assemble with no tools needed. The only improvement I can see is for the manufacturer to as another door on a lower level. The one door is up high. It’s a great cage for the money and looks absolutely gorgeous in our new home.. Each part can be locked to ensure pets are secure and do not escape. This cage, which can be used indoors and out, are easy to maintain with regular cleaning. Clean up after your canaries.

I hand-assembled this myself. It suggests that you NOT use power tools, so I did not. I kept scraping my knuckles on the wire when I was using the screwdriver, so wear gloves. In hindsight, I feel certain power tools would have been fine on the lowest setting. I love this - I moved parakeets to the front porch in an area where they are protected from the rain, have a breeze, and are not baking in direct sun. I can see them from inside, so I am constantly checking on them. This gave them so much more room than most cages. Parkeet are horizontal fliers and ground feeders, so the benefit from wider cages like this. They also fee safe if they can be higher than you, so this cage gives them a place to go up high, and I have to lead down to see up at them when the are at the top I might heat it for the winter, or just bring them back inside. So far, no predators have attempted to get in the cage. I check every day for marks, to see if anyone is trying.. Anne. Raleigh, NC. Sun Jun 29 2025
