Got this as an open box set and it seems sturdy and well made. There were a few small scratches on one of the arms, but don't effect the structure at all. As pretty as the chair was it was too uncomfortable to keep. The seat measurement listed in the description was the same as my existing chair but the position of the back made it actually 1 or 2" shorter. And the padding was as hard as it it were wood. So sad.
