First off , the box it came in was in terrible shape. Whole back was open, corner torn off. Thankfully all the parts were there and the chair was not damaged. But FedEx- come on . Secondly and Im no newcomer to assembling items, the assembly was not a smooth process. Some of the screws took several attempts to bite . As for the chair itself Ive used it for a couple of days. Its fine. The foot rest is rather flimsy but overall so far Im pleased with the purchase and the price.. Timothy. Saint Johns, FL. Wed Oct 14 2026

In our house, we’ve been through about a dozen different office chairs (thanks to working from home and teenagers who sit in theirs for both homework and gaming). We’ve tried a number of different brands of office and gaming chairs at different price points. And unfortunately, we were disappointed in this chair for the price. The chair looked nice, had a comfortable but breathable mesh seat, and claimed to have all the features we tend to look for: adjustable seat height, arm height, headrest, and lumbar support. The foot rest looked like a nice bonus. But once we put the chair together, we found we could not make the seat height or lumbar support adjust. It isn’t clear whether the hydraulic switches were malfunctioning, but if so, the manufacturer may be able to provide support or a replacement and fix the issue. The headrest only moved a small amount to adjust it, and this was not controlled by the same switches. It was also very tough to move up and down to the right height. The footrest was also difficult to pull out to use. The star-shaped base was plastic and came with some scuffs on it. I loved that the chair came with a good assembly manual. However, some steps were lacking in detail and were very small to try to see.. Emily. Snohomish, WA. Sun Jun 21 2026

The Amia chair has a secret. Beneath the Amia chair's upholstery, inside its sleek backrest, there's a unique comfort system called live lumbar™ technology. You may not see it, but you'll certainly feel it. As you sit in the chair an adjustable live lumbar™ zone flexes with your every move for consistent ergonomic support for your lower back, hour after hour, day after day. The Amia chair was designed by Steelcase in collaboration with industrial designer, Thomas Overthin of IDEO.

I LOVE my navy and silver task chair. The upholstery is perfect; very smooth for my sensitive skin. I cannot believe how lucky I am to have this ergonomic task chair with all the bells and whistles that work so easily. The lumbar feels so good on my back. The arms are so flexible to move any which way I need them to. The casters are perfect for my hardwood floor; I can flip from one area of my desk to the other freely. It was so easy to take the well-protected chair out of the packaging. It is a fantastic buy. The entire experience was exceptional and I am thrilled. Thank you Wayfair for selling Steelcase and thank you Steelcase for still being the #1 manufacturer of task chairs after all these many years! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!. Carolishca. Lake Worth, FL. Very high quality, easy to put together, and strong. I am a 6' 3", 310 lb man, and this chair is big even for me. Definitely recommend. I also purchased for the head support, and it is the prefect height for my head. The headrest is not height-adjustable, which is the only downside I see. The wheels roll smooth. The armrests lowest level is a tad high, but that doesn't bother me or my posture.. Josh. Minneapolis, MN. Sat Apr 18 2026
