Originally made to encase the light of a flickering flame, lanterns were first designed for function, not fashion. Today, they incorporate both. Take this one for example: suspended by a chain, this piece is crafted from metal and showcases a cylindrical silhouette, putting a contemporary twist on a traditional silhouette. A wavy glass shade diffuses light from any compatible bulb up to 100W, while a damp location rating makes it ideal for your enclosed patio ensemble.

Would have been a 5-star review but for two things. This does take a bit of pre assembly and the glass doesn’t seem as secure as it could be. That said, it is a very attractive and substantial pendant that fills up my smallish foyer nicely The glass will need fairly constant dusting and that isn’t optimal but a minor price to pay for the luxurious look of this pendant. Christopher. Cathedral City, CA. Mon Sep 28 2026

A throwback to one of Irvin's popular early designs, our store lamp includes the glass globe.

I was a little worried about getting these because they only had 1 Review…. But I got two for a Bunk Room I just designed at our lake house. The are ABSOLUTELY perfect! I love the nostalgic, gas lantern look to them. They were packaged incredibly well, a great size and sturdy … they are just adorable. I love that the metal plate over the light has tiny holes to let the light come though a little on the ceiling. In the picture on Wayfair the glass under the lantern looks white due to the white shiplap behind it … but it’s actually thick, clear glass. These are even better in person. I highly recommend these adorable lanterns And putting them on a Dimmer switch if you can. It’s so nice to be able to turn them up bright or really dim for a nice atmosphere. I may put the light bulbs in them that look like flickering flames. You won’t regret buying these!. Kristi. Gainesville, GA. Sun Dec 28 2025
