This really is a beautiful rug, it does say that it’s washable but the size I got is way too large so I will not be able to wash it in a standard machine. It does have more white in it than I expected so if you have young children or pets, you may wanna put it somewhere where it’s off-limits to them. I put mine in the guest room, which is not used on a frequent basis and the door is shut, so the animals cannot get in the color combination is extremely appealing. The carpet is very good quality, though the colors are not quite accurate. It is still very pretty. Just imagine that it is a bit darker (and duller) than the pictures you see on line. This rug is perfect. I have several sizes from this exact family - small one, three round ones which I have had for years (8 feet and 6 feet). They hold up and are perfect with a nice pile, great for bare feet and with the colors you don’t really see the dirt. Note - there is some shedding initially but it doesn’t last. Beautiful design, so I'll keep it, but sad that it's not the lovely pale blue color as shown in any of the pictures on the website. If I had been shopping for that exact color, I would have been much more disappointed. This rug has more of a brownish blue in the background than the pale blue. I'm hoping it will fade over time. With that said, this rug is much more plush and thick than I expected for the price; the dogs love it! It's a great quality piece with an exquisite design that's perfect for drawing the eye to not only the rug, but the flooring around it, which was my goal for this space. The rug is good quality and very nice. It settled very well (it was folded, not rolled) and didn't leave ridges. The four stars is just because the picture and reality are different as to colors. I still like it, so am keeping it, but the pictures are very much brighter than what it actually looks like. They were a little brighter than I really wanted, but took a chance. The actuaL colors are a little duller than I wanted, but it's such a nice rug that I've decided it works. Blue is more gray and the pink & red are just dull. But it still works, so I'm okay with it..
