We have many of these in our house. They work very well to brighten our rooms that have not overhead lights. However, our third lamp in a row just died right after 5 years ( so all have been out of warranty and just past the 5 year mark). Bought this for my guest room. I do have overhead lights but I like lamps better especially in bedrooms.
