I have been looking for bistro chairs for at least two years. I needed 8 chairs so I needed to keep the cost down per chair but I wanted them to "look" more expensive. The wood and shape had to be the right color and style. Also, I wanted the weave not to be a big checkerboard pattern which to me looks a bit cheap. This chair is perfect. I love the tight weave, the wood color and the chair's style , which makes it look like look like a much more expensive chair. And it is comfortable to sit in. The chairs required installation and I had a heck of a time getting the plastic (usually wood) dowels into the holes! This is embarrassing to say, but I literally put them in the freezer for awhile and then used a hammer to get them placed in the dowel hole, otherwise I couldn't get them in. Once I figured that out, it went fairly smoothly and for 2 chairs, it took me ~20 min. The color matches my walnut dining table well. They are comfortable and modern. Nice lightweight chairs for extra seating when needed. They look so much better than your standard folding chair and these get you out of a pinch when you have more guests arrive then you originally thought. They also are stackable so that makes storage a lot more convenient. The cushioning is relatively thin but surprisingly comfortable. Putting them together was really fast and easy and they are pretty lightweight but once assembled they do seem to support weight well. I wouldn’t consider these chairs for everyday use but I do like them for supplemental use for parties or get togethers.
