The item arrived well packaged and installation was relatively easy. The very last part of install was the light and there were two male connections instead of a male female, but just cut the end off and hardwired it not a big deal. These downrods by Fanimation are available in multiple finishes and lengths and will fit many installation needs. Recommended downrod length is based on ceiling height, with an ideal distance from floor to fan blades being 7 to 9 feet. Downrods can be joined together using a downrod coupler for extended lengths.
