Ordered 2, 1 came damaged and lights not working but it was clear that it was broken when it was packed and shipped. Some glue and a retrofit of the light strip and both are now working and look great. Read lots of reviews before purchasing and all were negative with regards to "broken in shipping" and "return/exchange nightmare". If we hadn't been able to fix the one ourselves, this review could have been very different. These are nice lights that we got to accent pictures in our hallway. There are lights on both sides. I will say that I thought that one side was stuck powered in, until I realized the pictures on the top indicated which button to use on the remote control.
