I ordered this titanium tea kettle because the glass/plastic one I had made water taste like plastic. So far, I have not had the experience with this kettle and my tea actually tastes like tea and not plastic. The kettle is light weight and almost feels like plastic or aluminum. The handle is plastic that looks like wood, but the lid and inside and anything that touches the water/steam is metallic. It heats water quickly, is easy to clean, simple, nice looking, and there is no weird plastic taste.
