Shouldn't be an issue at all because you can also choose HOT in the menu button. Looks lovely on my counter and next to the Bodum grinder that I also purchased years ago from Wayfair. I find this portafilter to be particularly useful for testing extractions on La Specialista machines. I have the touch model, and it works perfectly.
