I wanted a fan with white blades and brass body to work with Lutron Caseta in wall fan and light controls. This does come with a wall control in the box but worked without any issue with the Lutron controls. I wasn't a fan of the black blades but for less than $25 you can buy white replacement fan blades from Craftmade. I do wish they sold this fan in that configuration out of the box.. Eric. This is a really lovely fandelier which we purchased for a large bedroom. It arrived on time and in perfect condition. The brushed silver finish is gorgeous and difficult to find. We particularly wanted that finish because we have some fine art hanging in the room with brushed silver museum-quality frames, and we wanted a fandelier which wouldn’t compete with the paintings. The blades are grey on one side and brushed silver on the other side. The shade enclosing the lights is acrylic with a texture of “seedy” glass (fine interior bubbles). It looks like blown glass. The motor is reversible for year-round use. It's a VERY pretty fan. The blades are a very light gray wash look - high end. I got the Nickel finish motor. On/off via light switch and then the remote controls everything. Most fans I run at speed 1 for sleeping and that creates some air movement. But this fan doesn't push a lot of air, so i have to use speed 2 or 3 to get the same effect. This is in a guest room, which is rarely used, so that's fine for my needs. But if you need a fan that REALLY creates a breeze in a room, this is NOT the one. (Minus a star for that).. Tamara954. It is very comparable in sound and pressure to the same desk top fan that I use in my bedroom.
