The opening of the vase was a very nice size, and we were able to put a wide variety of flowers into it. We wanted a vase tall enough that it could be clearly visible when you walk through the front door, and the height was great coming up to the chair rail. The vase is very rounded at the bottom, but I wish there was more of a flat bottom. The picture shows the vase as being a golden, metallic look, and it is a very dull gold. Global Views is proud to be the first manufacturer in the United States to present the latest technology in home decor: a sound-made Portuguese ceramic collection. The process begins with recording an amazing voice in a spaciously beautiful monastery in Alcobaca (pronounced al-ku-ba-sa), Portugal. A computer program first maps the coordinates for the base of the design and then allows the sound of the voice to create the shape that builds from there. Once completed, the digital design is 3D printed into a mold that's used to create slip-molded ceramic vases. You'll notice that the vessels are only available in a white finish as a tribute to the monastery's Cistercian aesthetic, which prohibited all colored and patterned stained glass. Only colorless stained glass was allowed for light to pass through as clean, pure, and white providing tranquility and calmness.
