One light strip doesn't work at all. And yes I checked the connections twice. Scratches on the inside areas of the cabinet that must have been there prior to shipping. Paint dripped into a glob about the size of a quarter, and is very noticeable as it is on the back of the open area under lights. Glass doors rub against the wooden shelf during shipping, and it looks bad. And there are absolutely no instructions or even an arrow to show which direction is the top or bottom in the crate, which you HAVE to know in order to even begin getting this beast out of those wooden crates. For this amount of money, there should not have been any issues at all. The shipping company employees were irritated that they had to bring the boxes into the first available room. I understood, as these wooden crates are about 100"L x 37"Wx30"D. And weigh a ton. But they thought it reasonable to leave them in the driveway, which I didn't allow. I made them bring them in. Let me say that we looked all over for a modern looking bar and for the price, we are very pleased with this piece. Many of the ones we looked at were MUCH more expensive and we didn't want to ay that much. That being said, you do often get what you pay for, so this has some issues. As many others said, there was some damage when it arrived. Of course we didn't notice until it was unpacked and half assembled. We were lucky that the damage was in a hidden spot, so not a big deal, a corner that was banged up but wasn't visible when assembled. The packaging/protection could be better. The instructions were missing, so it took us a while to figure out how to put this together, but we were able to figure it out since we've assembled this type of furniture several other times. It wasn't the easiest thing to put together and I wouldn't trust the glass shelf in the back to hold much weight, but the side pieces are solid. The top piece of glass is "frosted", but the used a coating to frost it, which if you are not careful, can scratch off and is visible from the top. Overall, we are very happy with this, it gave us the look we wanted without breaking the bank, but it's certainly not top quality craftsmanship. For the price, it's exactly what we were looking for.. I absolutely love this lighted cabinet! We are in the process of remodeling my office and I got it for a sanctuary for my crystal/rock collection. I LOVE the amber glass. I love that it has two nice really large drawers at the bottom where I can store my smaller rocks. I think it's really lovely. It will work so well in my office when it's completed. It wasn't hard at all to put together. It took about an hour and the hardware was really smart compared to other pieces we have put together. A+ I absolutely would recommend this to anyone who needs a sharp, modern looking cabinet to display their most treasured items that they would love to show off.
