My only question would be, are there dividers available for purchase to use in the shallow drawers? There seem to be spaces for them, but I didn't see them available for purchase. I was hesitant to purchase this file cabinet because of some of the reviews that cited poor packaging and damage to the cabinet. I am happy to report that the two-drawer, silver cabinet (MADE in the USA and already assembled!!!) was delivered in perfect condition and after figuring out how and where to place the hanging folder frames (included in the file drawers) and the cross bars (purchased separately thru Wayfair and described as the Hirsch Lateral Front to Back Rail Kit), I REALLY glad that I decided to buy this file cabinet. I am using the drawers for front-to-back, LETTER-sized hanging files. Because of the width of the cabinet, I used 2 cross bars in each drawer, which leaves about 6"of extra space in each drawer. This space cannot be used to put LEGAL-sized hanging file because the hanging folder frames are too far apart because of the positioning used to accommodate the letter-sized front-to-back hanging files. This is not a problem for me and the positioning can always be changed, if desired. You could use legal-size hanging files from front-to-back and there would be no extra space on each side. The cabinet is very sturdy, but I am going to purchase a piece of clear plastic to put on the top of the cabinet to prevent scratches. You can definitely place something on the top because the steel is very strong. There are 2 front gliders that can be adjusted to level the cabinet. There are 2 keys to lock the cabinet, and I am happy to report I can keep them in the cabinet until ready to use because this is not a push-in lock (thank goodness); you must lock it with the key, so it cannot be accidentally locked with the keys inside (which happened to me with my kids and another file cabinet). Both drawers lock with the one lock. There are also 2 plastic, magnetic strips you can place on the front of drawers to identify the contents, which is a nice touch.. Darla Kenton. Chicago, IL. Ordered 2 at once. One arrived from New Jersey (?) in perfect condition, but the second shipped from TX never arrived. Customer service has been perfectly helpful for all FIVE (?) calls. A replacement (from TX) was ordered and arrived not boxed with corner protectors/top and bottom cardboard pieces completely damaged and unusable. A second replacement came (from TX) and arrived in even worse condition (both tops had screws missing and screw holes stripped so won't stay on with screws provided, cracks on all sides, dents, etc.). I asked for a return label so whomever can inspect and see how badly damaged they are coming from TX. Third replacement sent from New Jersey or maybe Virginia- I cannot remember. Arrived in perfect condition like the first did. Customer service could not be better, but I'd call to order this piece with customer service and beg that it comes NOT from Texas. Love the two working ones and recommend 100%... again, if not arriving from Texas! I'm sharing damaged photos of last one sent, but not of two we kept, b/c they fit description perfectly.. Christina. Took 24 minutes to build and was very easy to put together. Scan the code and watch the video much easier then looking at the pictures. The photo showed a height of 24.8" its actually 25.2" which made it not fit under my desk but the specifications shows 26" so should've read that. The dark purple is a great color - file cabinets are fine for the price point. One of the two I ordered has a sizable dent on one corner. It it was to be in a corner or not viewable from two sides, I would be ok with it. However, it is being used to support wood for a desk in a brand new church office and plain to see. I really love my file cabinet. The height is perfect, it's sturdy and well made and tge drawers are very deep and spacious to store files ir whatever you want to secure inside. It was easy to assemble and it arrived on time and well packed in a box to secure it. It was not damaged and I'm happy that I can place my printer on top of the file cabinet so everything is accessible within my reach while working in my office space setup at home.
