We just assembled the desk in 5 minutes, not counting the unboxing. Because it’s quite heavy and we’re in our 70’s, we asked our adult children to help lift it out of the box. But screwing on the legs was a breeze. We will be buying a buying a desk protector mat since we plan to write at the desk. This desk is stunning. It was so easy to put together. The desktop came with the drawers built and installed and all we had to do was screw on the legs. The top is a heavy board that is edge and finger joint glued together and finished in veneer. The legs are also fingerjointed boards. It generally looks nice, but the finish is quite sloppy. there are some rough spots where it was not thoroughly sanded too. I purchased this table because it was on sale.
