These are lovely lights. I purchased 3 to hang from a high cathedral ceiling.The fabric has a very soft pattern that I believe helps to diffuse the light. Although the fabric appears a bright white, and depending on the bulbs you pick, when they are on, it is soft and muted. We put ours on a dimmer, and they can be bright or a really soft accent. At night, stunning. These are very elegant and I feel they can be used in any setting from mid century, to traditional. In my case, it is transitional.These are semi flush mount, and I needed them to hang about 3 feet lower, so we were able to find matching brass rods and the connectors and it looks wonderful. Our mid century modern pendant lighting orange glass works well in many different styles of indoor decor, from modern to vintage. Orange green hand-blown glass hanging lamps with ribbed/texture looks very special and creative.
