Cast Iron Acrylic Shower Base

Ordered Friday, arrived Monday - VERY fast service. Shower pan was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. Design is exactly as we expected and reinforcement on the underside is significantly better than the shower pans from the big box stores that I looked at. Support is very dense so floor should be very solid. I am very happy with this for our new bathroom installation in our basement. Added six months out -- Installation went very well, builder said the quality of the floor pan was great and it looks fantastic! .Attached picture shows the completed shower.. Dave. Transolid ultra-low linear shower bases are the perfect choice to replace an old tub. They are to accommodate traditional tub sizes and the drain from the wall to line up with an existing tub drain. Made of numerous layers of Transtone, a sheet-molded compound material that is solid throughout the base and is supported by sturdy structural ribs underneath that radiate out from the drain opening. When combined with a thin-set mortar installation, this creates a flex-free, water-tight installation and a foundation that you can count on. The base features an ultra-low threshold that is just a smidgen wider to even accommodate popular farmhouse style barn doors. The surface is scratch, impact, and slip-resistant with a beautiful slate finish for a minimalist look.

This shower base came very well packaged. It is heavy. I thought for some reason it was going to be light because it’s fiber glass but it is heavy. The drainage hole is not in the center so I will have to make some adjustments to my existing drainage line before I am able to install it. But overall I am happy with this addition to my project..
