The packaging was perfect and the shade was probably damaged before it was packed. Second, the paint which covers the dragonflies on the base looks very good when the base light is off, but looks thin and poorly applied when turned on. It's nice, but is considerably larger than I thought it would be. Fortunately the table I wanted to put it on accommodates it just fine. Also, I am not sure I think it is as pretty as the picture is. But, eh, it's fine. My main thing with it is that the shade is not as oatmeal colored as it is in the picture. It's kinda darker as it has some dark, maybe blackish, thread woven into it.
