The prettiest fan EVER...BUUUUT!!! It stop working in 7 months. The light won't go out. Called an Electrician and he said the unit had to be replaced. This ceiling fan is a really nice unit. However, the instructions (obviously a "so so" translation from a foreign language into English) were not entirely clear throughout. Assembly and installation of the fan required a fair amount of "handy man" knowledge and experience to get through some unclear/confusing parts of the instructions. Gorgeous! We are very happy with our purchase of the Alessandra Tropical ceiling fan with light in gray ashed tone w/brushed nickel. I was looking for something for our guest room in our Florida home that would help make our guests feel they were on vacation and this fit the bill. We've thrilled with our purchase. The only negative is that the remote changes the light warmth but not necessarily the brightness - there is no dimming option on remote. This fan is wonderful, we highly recommend it. It was very easy to install. The colors are closer to a red burgundy than brown in person, and the tops of the fans are a weird yellow color. I do wish the fans blades were the same color on both sides. This thing provides really great breeze and a strong wind when it’s really hot. We’ll definitely be utilizing it a lot this summer.
