I did read the assembly instructions (they did not mention a blade) but unfortunately when I gathered all the plastic wrap to dispose of there was a blade that severed the tip of my finger. I could share the picture only if you care to see it. But, what I think is important is to warn people that there is this blade in the packaging and make it more visible/prominent to avoid future mishaps with customers. Love-Love these! I wanted real leather (hard to find!), and soft but not the sloppy look of a traditional pouf. These are like a bean bag only in the top inch or so which is a different compartment than the insert. I’ve been using one nightly for a month and the other has had no use.
