The bed is very solid and instructions are easy to follow. I will say though, it was a 2 person job for us and we are well versed in putting furniture together. We also needed a heavy mallet and a lot of patience while we pounded the back support together. We thought that the whole idea of "Japanese Joinery" meant the pieces just slide right in together which was definitely not the case. It feels solid and doesn't wiggle or move around. I'm hoping that it will be a great solid bed that will last us years. The color is beautiful-- a nice walnut color that complements our earthy tone theme beautifully. That really says a lot about Wayfair’s excellent customer service and their commitment to making sure their customers are satisfied. The bed itself was super easy to assemble, and my little sister is absolutely in love with her gift! We haven’t installed the lights yet, so I can’t speak about that feature specifically, but I can already say that the overall quality is impressive. The finish is beautiful, and I especially love that it has a unique style while still staying within those classic, timeless wood colors. The size is also perfect for a slim person or for a bedroom with limited space without making the room feel overcrowded. I really like this solid wood bed frame. It looks beautiful and feels sturdy and well made. The wood color is warm and matches my room perfectly. The bed frame is stable and does not make much noise when moving. The wooden slats provide good support for the mattress. Very easy to put to together. It is a very sturdy bedframe for the price. The “espresso” color is fairly accurate in person vs what you see online in the pictures. The only reason we give this bedframe 4 stars is because one of the posts came damaged as seen in the second picture. Additionally, instructions were pretty straightforward. There was one moment where it isn’t straightforward, as it doesn’t mention there is not a pre drilled hole for a screw for the middle portion of the frame. The bed frame has been pretty sturdy since we put it together, and had no issues putting our premium king sized mattress on it. The bed went together fairly easily, even with one person! For a few of the steps, I had it leaning on the wall with a blanket for extra protection, but the pieces went together smoothly with little extra effort. The most time consuming part was simply attaching the bed slats, which was quick with a drill.
