Really good coffee maker! Consistently makes good coffee on the gold setting and the bluetooth features are really nice! Only complaint is that the water reservoir doesnt come off on the model I have, which makes it hard to clean out. Also after 2 years the clock LED has begun to fail. Otherwise it has served us well.. It makes very good coffee, but as many have said, the carafe is poorly designed. I got the stainless carafe and it came with a chip in the lining material right under the spout, where the coffee would come out. Also, there always is coffee remaining in the carafe when you think you have poured it all, so you have to take off the lid part and pour the rest out. This is not a deal breaker for me, but the carafe engineers could have done better. Also, you cannot just buy a new carafe from GE, they don't sell it separately. I went to Partstps dotcom and am hopeful that one I order will come without a lining flaw. I have started putting in 2.5 cups of water and brew 3 cups to ensure the water drains out more completely from the inside unit, and I open the reservoir and brewing area after I am done so moisture does not cause an issue. I like having a choice of either the metal filter or paper filters. Regarding the carafe issue, I was able to get credits on my Wayfair account to help offset the cost of a new carafe It was a GE factory error and Wayfair customer service was very good.. Mimi. Sw Va. We love our Bodum French Press. We have one for each of us. The 17oz size is perfect for the person who only wants 2 cups of coffee. The design is modern and so beautiful! I make sure to hand dry the stainless steel press so it always looks shiny. We usually wrap our presses with a clean dish cloth so it stays warm even longer. We use two tablespoons ( included is a plastic spoon) of courser ground coffee so grounds do not sift through the mesh plunger. Set your timer for 4 minutes and then push down gently on the plunger. Don’t forget to line up the little ‘arrow’ on the lid with spout. Voila!. Jasmin. Bonita Springs, FL. Wed Oct 19 2022

The Chambord French Press Coffee Maker is a true original – the classic French press coffee maker designed in the fifties. And we still produce it with the same painstaking craftsmanship we used way back when with the original. The frame, made of steel, undergoes several chrome plating processes to obtain a durable shiny surface that will last for many years of intense use. The only difference in the production process since the fifties is our commitment to the highest standards of environmentally correct manufacturing, which is especially important during the chrome plating process. The black polypropylene handle comes in a matte finish that not only gives a comfortable grip while serving but adds to the classic quality of the design. The French press system has always been the simplest and ultimate way of brewing an excellent cup of coffee.

At the touch of a button, it prepares the full spectrum of hot drinks from intense espresso to on-trend flat white. It also opens up a whole new dimension in the enjoyment of coffee with the introduction of cold brew specialties. This is made possible thanks to the Product Recognizing Grinder (P.R.G.), which recognizes the chosen specialty and instantly and precisely adjusts the fineness of the grind accordingly. The result is a completely new way of experiencing coffee – refreshing, energizing, and with a wonderfully balanced aroma. Loved my 1st one. Couldn't make it without my 2nd. It matches my kitchen to a tee. After recent hurricane, no power at home. Generator at work allow pot of coffee to brew. Knew I could count on flask to keep it hot overnight for good coffee in A.M. but careless driver ran red light caused me to slam brakes to avoid collision. Flask sent flying into dash board and shattered. Luckily landed in insulated bag so coffee contained. Ordered 2nd flask to help get my life back in shape. Holds full carafe of coffee. Jamie.
