The sofa frame and tables are UV and weather resistant so shouldn't fade. The cushions are splash proof (so if any spills occur, pick up the cushion and give it a firm pat on the underside to encourage the droplets to roll off). However, the cushions should not be left outside or in damp conditions. Store them somewhere warm and dry. This is a really nice outdoor loveseat with cushions. It was difficult to put together by myself so I would recommend having two people as it would be very easy if you had two people. The instructions are easy to follow, it is more of the awkwardness of the pieces than the directions. I like that it comes with the little wooden covers for the holes which finishes it off nicely and the button attachment to keep the cushions from blowing off. The wood is soft though so be careful when assembling as I put mine together on my driveway which was aggregate and it dented up some of the pieces. This is a beautiful sofa! The set up was simple for two people, and didn’t take long. The cushions are thick and firm. It will definitely work as a daybed or perfect extra sleeping space for guests.
