I am extremely happy with this Electric Adjustable Standing Desk by 17 Stories. Assembly was surprisingly fast and straightforward. Following the manual, I was able to put the entire desk together in under an hour. Great for the price. Assembly instructions not totally clear, but we figured it out through trial and error. Lots of screws on this one! Drawers are cloth, like those cubes you buy, with a stiff bottom to add to make them sturdier. Will be interesting to see how much we can put in them before they start bucklinggetting out of shape. However, it sure made drawers and drawer tracks way easier than assembling wood drawers and making sure tracks align correctly! I DO recommend the desk as long as you can accept the "CONS" I list. CONS; 1. IMPORTANT, The ledge is not wide enough to safely/securely place the stand of larger monitors. Unless you use a monitor arm I would not recommend this desk if you use anything above a 24" external monitor. 2. The 20" depth might be just a little too short if you are using a laptop with the lid open and an external monitor placed on the desk or ledge. 3. LEDs are not nearly as bright as pictures show. SO-SO The soft side drawers work but not something to brag about. I expected this so wasn't surprised. PROs I'm impressed at how sturdy it is for a light weight desk. Assembly was fairly straight forward as were the instructions that are pretty well written. Everything fit together well and assembly took less than 2 hours with two people. Finals thoughts. If you are using an external monitor I would suggest you consider NOT installing the ledge and use a monitor arm to get the most useable desk space. I did keep the ledge but might remove it later.. My son really liked this gaming desk and for the price it is a good buy and fit his needs perfectly. You could spend more on higher end desks but for what he needed it for that would have been overkill. It was fairly simple to assemble. As long as you go step by step with the instructions, it will be smooth.
