Although it was packaged well, it somehow came with a small dent in the side (see picture). While this does not affect the cabinet’s purpose in any way, it was a gift for my husband and it just found this disappointing. Other than that, it is very nice overall. Not oversized and comes completely assembled. The inside is done very nicely with an eye towards maximizing the space for rifles, pistols, magazines and ammo. Both keys and code unlock it with ease. I really like that they included the bolts to enable solid mounting against a wall. My husband is very happy with it.. Patricia Gayle. Tyler, TX. Mon Aug 10 2026

My husband has always wanted a gun safe that wasn't too heavy but still gets the job done, and this one fits the bill. It's set up in his gun closet and holds his rifles with room to spare, and the separate locking top compartment is handy for keeping cases and accessories organized apart from the long guns. The keypad entry is convenient, and the whole unit feels solid without being a beast to move into place. It does exactly what we needed.. Elana. US. Fri Jul 03 2026

It’s a nice ammo cabinet and definitely gets the job done. I took off one star because the instructions are a joke. Once assembled, however, it feels pretty solid. Glad I bought it.. Luis. USA. Sat Oct 24 2026

Most people envision safes as big and bulky and taking up too much space. The space conscious design of the compact safe by V-Line allows you to store your jewelry and other valuables that don't take up much room.

Sturdy construction and a good quick opening lock. I am satisfied with the purchase .. Michael. Anchorage, AK. Fri Jan 08 2016

Keep rifles, pistols, ammunition, and shooting accessories organized in one secure storage cabinet. Designed to accommodate approximately 10-12 firearms in total, including rifles and handguns, this steel gun safe features adjustable rifle racks, dedicated door storage, an upper storage compartment, and a bottom locking drawer for flexible organization. A programmable digital keypad, backup keys, vibration alarm, silent mode, and emergency external power option provide convenient everyday access. The cabinet ships unassembled and includes the hardware and instructions needed for installation.

This arrived in a large rectangular box that had some shipping damage. A few of the metal pieces were bent, but I was able to straighten them with a pair of pliers, and the damaged areas were hidden once everything was assembled. Assembly took me about an hour and a half. A screwdriver is included, but I would definitely recommend using your own because the one provided was difficult to work with. I could not really use a drill either because several of the screws are positioned very close to the inside corners. A few of the holes did not line up perfectly, but once assembled, the cabinet still felt secure. I am using the main compartment for valuables rather than firearms. To me, this feels more like a heavy-duty locking cabinet or locker than a true heavy-duty safe. It can be bolted to the wall, which definitely helps with security. I also like that it has two separate storage areas that can be locked independently from the main compartment. The keypad allows you to program two codes, and if someone enters the wrong code twice, a very loud alarm sounds. The lock itself is manual. After entering the correct code, you still turn the dial to unlock the door rather than having it open automatically. The keypad uses four AA batteries, and it also includes an external battery pack in case the internal batteries die. Mine arrived with a noticeable scratch on the keypad, but it still worked properly. The instructions started out fairly straightforward but became a little confusing toward the end. Overall, this is not a heavy-duty security safe, but for basic home storage and keeping valuables secured and organized, it gets the job done. Bruce. Sarasota, FL. Mon Oct 12 2026

The compact interior stores up to 2–4 long guns up to 50 inches tall, depending on firearm size and accessories, while the adjustable shelf allows flexible storage for ammunition, gear, and other essentials. Two door-mounted pistol pockets keep handguns and small accessories easily accessible and organized. Built with durable cold-rolled steel construction, an electronic keypad lock, backup keys, and four solid locking bolts, this gun safe offers reliable everyday protection for home storage. With pre-drilled mounting holes and included hardware, it can be securely anchored to the floor or wall when needed. Arriving fully assembled and ready to use right out of the box, it is an ideal choice for new firearm owners, apartment residents, and families seeking a convenient, versatile, and high-value storage solution.

It is exactly how the description describes it , fits about 3 rifles and has a small shelf at the top for storage over all I’m good with it it was what I expected. Anonymous. Sun Aug 09 2026

This KAER gun safe features a spacious, multi-zone interior for organizing rifles, pistols, ammunition, valuables, and accessories. Its assembly-required design provides more usable storage space than many fully assembled cabinets. A subtle printed pattern creates a clean, understated look that blends easily into bedrooms, offices, closets, or garages. Fingerprint, keypad, backup key, and emergency power access provide convenient entry. Secure the cabinet to a solid wall using the rear mounting holes to improve stability and help prevent tipping.

Good basic safe for keeping firearms secure from children I’m satisfied with this safe for what it is. Assembly took approximately two hours, so be prepared to spend some time putting it together. Once assembled, it feels reasonably sturdy and does what I purchased it to do. The electronic lock is a nice convenience and makes accessing the safe much easier than dealing with a traditional key lock. The primary purpose for me is keeping firearms safely secured and out of the hands of curious children, and I believe it accomplishes that well. That said, buyers should have realistic expectations about the level of security this safe provides. It is not a high-security safe designed to withstand a determined thief, and it offers no fire protection whatsoever. I would consider it a good option for basic firearm storage and keeping unauthorized family members from accessing firearms, but I would look at a much heavier and more robust safe if theft or fire protection is a major concern. Overall, it’s a good value for its intended purpose, but it’s important to understand what you are and are not getting.. Liz. Virginia Beach, VA. Mon Sep 14 2026

This gun safe is perfect! It’s not heavy but it’s still sturdy and good quality. I love that it has pistol pockets. That is a very handy feature! The padded barrel holders protect your guns from damage, as well as a protective pad that sits in the floor of the cabinet. There are adjustable shelves and a motion sensor light that comes on when you open the safe. To open it, you can either use the key or program your code and use the keypad. Although it doesn’t appear very big, it holds more than you think it will. The description says it holds 12-15 guns but we were able to fit more than that. I’m happy and satisfied with this purchase!. Teri. Mccomb, MS. Wed Jan 07 2026

Absolutely love this little safe. We needed something small for our master closet that we could store cash, valuables and a few guns for quick access. We searched and searched and yes they’ve much larger firer proof safes out there but we just needed something small to keep in the closet that would give us quick access and the keep the kids safe from guns stored in the house. This is an elegant piece that will fit in any space and does the job. It is super light. I’m a 5’5”, 130pds, female and can drag it around. But it does come with hardware to mount it to the wall making it much harder for someone to just grab your safe and run. And our closet is an elegant walk-in with glass cabinets and chandeliers so we needed a safe that complimented the space. This one does just that. It would also look beautiful free standing in an office setting. Overall if you need something for a small space this will do the job. Will it hold most southerns’ gun collections, probably not, but if you’re looking for something to keep things close to you at night or tucked away in a small space this is perfect in that application. It also came packaged very well, not a scratch on it, and easy to unpack.. Christina. Mandveille, LA. Thu Oct 01 2026

Designed to fit right at home—inside closets, under the stairway, in the garage, or a utility room—it brings peace of mind without taking over your space.

Well built and sturdy. The directions are easy to follow. I had trouble with some of the screws that went in the front panel from the inside. I did get them after some frustration. I think the cabinet is worth the little bit of trouble I had. Once done, it is nice looking and has a lot of interior room. The provided interior light works well too. The upper and lower storage compartments are a nice touch. Overall I am happy with it.. Stefanie. USA. Mon May 18 2026

One cabinet, two sizes. Choose 4 long gun + 4 handgun capacity for personal collections, or step up to 8 long gun + 4 handgun capacity for full home-defense lineups. Both options share the same 3-in-1 lock system — fingerprint, digital keypad, and key — plus anti-theft alarm, magnetic LED interior light, felt-lined interior, and included wall anchors for tip-over protection. Built from cold-rolled steel for responsible, organized firearm storage.

A decent steel cabinet with very heavy locking door to keep your firearms stored securely. Interior has a small motion sensitive light that mounts via magnet so you can position and reposition as needed, two half shelves, a locking compartment, rifle rests and pistol mounts on the inside of the door. The door is very heavy and you must anchor the cabinet to the wall or it will tip over when you open the door. Several options for locking - manual with a key, or electronic lock with either a code or fingerprint. Simple assembly took about 1.5 hours with two people, unboxing to clean up. Clear directions and all holes lined up. It would have been nice if the holes were threaded inserts with machine screws instead of sheet metal screws. One of the fabric pouches seems to have gotten Styrofoam melted onto it that didn't brush out.. Jd. Kalispell, MT. Wed Oct 07 2026
