It's a solid choice for a beginner/starter gun safe. Great price when I purchased it. My only con about it is the square turn handle is oddly shaped and made of what seems like week material, especially for opening a heavy metal door as you have to turn and pull on it with the weight of the door plus any accessories you have hanging from the interior door side.. This came in the mail. I live in an apartment so I had to go down and bring up a 90 pound box from the mail room. As, FedEx did not even bother to bring it to my door. I open the box and it’s tons of pieces to assemble together. I start trying to assemble it together, and the holes were either not already drilled, or they were way too small for the screws. Nicely compact for smaller spaces. Heavy but still manageable. Instructions are easy to understand and was able to open combination on first attempt. Does all it claims to do. I’ll update the review with anything bad I encounter, so assume it’s fine if there are no updates. Taking a star off for two reasons. One, the manual is quite poorly written English which made it hard to understand and set up. This was easily remedied by searching up a video. Two, there is a slight scratch in the front door of mine. Nothing major and it’s likely going to pick up more as time goes on. This model seems somewhat top heavy, so plan on anchoring it somehow. Comfortably fits my two long guns with room for more, but I wouldn’t expect it to carry more than two or three fully kitted out rifles. If they had little to no side furniture you’d fit more of them. Top portion is good for documents and smaller valuables like jewelry and watches. Maybe a third or fourth handgun if you have them. If you’re concerned about it like I was- rifles with small sights like my holosun ARO fit just fine.. Joseph. Wed Jul 22 2026
