I have very poor lighting in my house and was thinking of installing recessed lighting, but then I found this, which is a much less expensive option. The lighting simulated the patterns of the sky, including sunrise and cloudy days. The remote is easy to use . Installation requires watching a you tube video, but that made it much easier . Very nice. Good size. Not plastic!!! So heavy, be prepared for that when installing. They are motion activated and get brighter I believe as you get closer. These outdoor lights are very pretty and look great on the house. They have a clean, classic design that matches everything well. Installation was straightforward and easy, which I really appreciated. My only complaint is with the quality of the cap screws that secure the fixture to the mounting plate. Our house has all original 1990s contractor special light fixtures. They are a pain to maintain even with LED bulbs. So I was looking for something smooth, sleek and modern to dress of the main bathroom. This light is wonderful, It is exceptionally low profile nearly as flush with the ceiling as you could want. The remote is straight forward. And the installation instructions are easy. Lovely lantern!! It looks great on our front porch. We recently bought a fixer upper, so please ignore where we filled in nail holes but haven't painted yet. This replaced the smaller builder grade light that was there, and it really elevates our space. We use the motion detector mode and it works great.
