Other glass tables I have had are super heavy and the glass just sits on the base which always made me nervous. Glass table tops work well in small areas so you get the feeling of space. That is the number one reason I went with it. I was concerned that it would not be sturdy, if you look at it you get the feeling that if you put weight on the edge, the table could flip up. Not a chance.
